Frances Beatty is a professional photographer and the owner of Frances Beatty Photography. Frances knew she was meant for a career in photography when her father took her with him on a photography project. Watching him shoot with an Olympus SLR made her realize that she was destined to tell stories through photos and capture memorable moments. She studied photography at OCAD University, where she concentrated on art pieces that helped build her understanding of memories, relationships, and connections. Frances’s unique photography sense comes from her diverse upbringing — she was born and raised in a century farmhouse near the Kawarthas, lived and studied in Toronto and New York City, and has now set up a home in the bucolic countryside south of the Georgian Bay. She specializes in contemporary, photojournalism, and portraiture styles of photography.
